FAQ

Clear answers before you trust a health diary.

OtoNote Tinnitus Diary is built for record keeping and appointment preparation. It is not a relief app, hearing aid, diagnostic tool, or medical device.

What is OtoNote Tinnitus Diary?

OtoNote Tinnitus Diary is an iPhone tinnitus journal for logging daily symptoms, TFI scores, and care timeline notes so you can review a clearer record before appointments.

Does it treat or relieve tinnitus?

No. OtoNote Tinnitus Diary is for self-tracking and report preparation. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, predict, or relieve tinnitus.

What can I track?

The current app records intensity, bother, side, sound type, optional sleep or mood impact, TFI scores, and optional context notes such as stress, noise, or caffeine.

Where does my data go?

The app is designed local-first: records stay on your device by default, with no account requirement, no ads, and no third-party tracking claim in the app copy.

What is included in Pro?

The Pro tier is built around longer trends, PDF and CSV export, Apple Health context, care timeline markers, Shortcuts quick logging, and custom trigger tags.

When should I seek medical care?

Seek professional care if tinnitus appears suddenly, is one-sided, pulses with your heartbeat, follows injury, or is accompanied by hearing loss, dizziness, pain, or neurological symptoms.

Doctor-ready records, calmer conversations

Turn a hard-to-explain symptom into a simple record you can review before your next appointment.

OtoNote Tinnitus Diary keeps the daily workflow small: log the sound, review the trend, and prepare a clearer discussion with an ENT doctor or audiologist.
